Big Spring Resort doesn't just have the best and closest spot in the Inlet - we have the best and most comfortable resort. We are much more than just a camp! Big Spring Resort - In the sports-fishing business since 1980, we are famous for great fishing at the best spot in Rivers Inlet, just around the corner and you are at "The Wall" and other great spots! We are also well known for excellent service, first class accommodations and resort facilities. We offer a totally new resort, rebuilt in 2007 with your choice of single or double room all with private bathroom. We also have one cabin with 2 double and 2 single rooms available.You'll be flown from Vancouver South Terminal to Port Hardy and from there with Float Planes to Big Spring. During a max. 2 hour flight, you'll cross some of the finest scenery in the world - the ruggedly beautiful West Coast, with its serrated mountain ranges and secret fjords. |

| THE FISHING AT BIG SPRING is easy and enjoyable for everyone. For the beginner we supply an information kit on fishing this area. This is supplemented by a clinic and, if required, personal attention from our staff. We have all 5 species of salmon: Chinook, Coho, Pink, Chum, and the odd Sockeye. We also have Lingcod, Red Snapper and Halibut. We provide all the necessary equipment, rods, reels, bait, 16 ft. fiberglass boats with 25hp outboard motor and fuel. You can be sure that we will provide you with all the best to bring in "THE BIG ONE". We show you how to cut the bait and catch fish, how to handle the boats, and where the best fishing is located. You can fish from dawn until dark, or go out for a boat trip and just enjoy the scenery. Our Fishmaster is out on the water to show, to help, and to serve you as well. Every time you return to base, your catch is tagged and cleaned, your bait supply restocked, your boat cleaned and tackle checked. Our staff completely handles your catch for you. They clean, vacuum-pack, freeze, and box your fish ready for your return flight home. For all EU- guest we provide the necessary Health Certificate to bring all your fish (no weight limit) home right away with you! We are one of the first resorts to be able to do this with all necessary professional inspections and approval number! ll boats come with VHF-radio, fish-finder and Electro start! The VHF-radio is for your security, safety, communication from boat to boat or to the base. The fish-finder is to find out where the best fishing is and to see the depth of the water. We provide also for each boat a GPS - to find your secret spot on the water. |

In our 2 lounges you can relax, or play shuffleboard, darts or card games - drinks and snacks are always available from our bar. For 2008 we are planning to put a horse shoe shooting game on one of our extra dock's. For your dining pleasure, there is a well supplied kitchen and a nice dining room with a marvelous view. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with you choice of coffee, tea, juice. Wine or beer for dinner are complimentary. To describe our area in RIVERS INLET on the coast of BRITISH COLUMBIA would need volumes. It is truly a paradise View the magnificent scenery and all the wildlife - whales, orcas, dolphins, eagles and more, as you enjoy some of the world's best fishing. Don't forget to bring your camera and film, your sunglasses and sun cream - we supply a fishing cap for you. For rainy days - yes, it happens - we even provide you with the necessary rain gear and boots. Our 'New Tackle Float' has 6 buildings for: fishing equipment, safety floater suits or life vests; fish cleaning and vacuum packing; workshops; huge 'walk in freezer'; facilities. One last point - our generator building is so well insulated - no noise - you would think we get power from shore.. |
