Haggard Cove Resort is located in the Southeast corner of Barkley Sound, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, offering access to some of the world's finest fishing grounds. This 22 year old fishing lodge has secluded shore line accommodations for up to 11 guests with expansive lawns, large deck, hiking trails and horseshoe pit.

Coho, Chinook, Spring, or Chum Salmon, Steelhead, Halibut or Trout

CHINOOK (KINGS), COHO (SILVERS) & SOCKEYE SALMON are produced in large numbers by the Robertson Creek Hatchery and Natural River Systems feeding into the Alberni Inlet and the Barkley Sound.

About Us

Haggard Cove Resort is situated directly in the path of huge schools of migrating salmon. Dozens of "CALM WATER" (no swells) fishing hot spots are within 10 minutes of the lodge. Fish from very comfortable 24 to 28 foot washroom equipped cabin cruisers that put you on top of the fishing action with very experienced guides. Our fishing guides have 20 to 35 years experience fishing in the Barkley Sound. The guide boats fish for 8 to 9 hours per day.

Accommodations

The lodge has semi-private (5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) accommodations for 11 guests. 4 of the bedrooms have 2 twin beds and 1 bedroom has 2 twins and a double bed. We serve a Continental breakfast before we go Fishing in the morning, a full breakfast after the morning Fishing, a full dinner before the evening Fishing and Seafood Chowder and dessert after the evening Fishing.

Our guide boats are 24' to 28' cabin cruisers with toilet. The boats are Coast Guard inspected, and equipped with all the necessary safety equipment. The guide boats fish 4 to 5 hours every morning and 4 hours every evening (8 to 9 hours per day), with everything supplied. Our guides have a minimum of 20 years experience fishing in the Barkley Sound.
