| The Chilko River remains one of the premier streams in North America for trophy wild Rainbow Trout. Chilko’s crystal clean waters, deep pools, long shelves, fast and calm waters, offer a variety of fishing opportunities to you. The Rainbows are big, healthy, strong and very colourful. Since the headwaters are 52 mile-long Chilko Lake, acting as a big filter for runoff, the river never clouds or silts up...it remains crystal clear drinking water and is very consistent in its levels. Chilko Lake is surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks, pristine forests, ice fields, and is fed by dozens of glacial creeks, giving it her gorgeous colour. Our fly fishing guests spend a day or two up the lake to experience the untouched beauty of the area and fish for monster Bull Trout. A day on the Chilko Lake is not to be missed! |

Our Rainbow Trout are all native to the Chilko Water System. These beautiful fish have an abundant food source due to the extremely large salmon runs in the autumn, the huge smolt escapement in the spring and the big summertime hatches of river bugs. The Rainbows range up to the mid 20 inch size and you will catch most over 18 inches. They are excellent fighting fish and have gorgeous colouring. The Chilko’s resident fish are Rainbow Trout, Bull Trout, Dolly Varden, Mountain Whitefish and the ocean run fish are Steelhead, Sockeye Salmon, Chinook Salmon, and Coho Salmon. At Tsylos Park Lodge we focus on the Rainbow Trout and Bull Trout. We primarily catch Rainbows in the river and Bulls on the lake. On a 7 night fly fishing week most anglers spend 5.5 days on the Chilko River and 1 day on Chilko Lake. |

| All prices are in US$ and based on double occupancy at the lodge; single rooms add 25%. All packages are subject to change in order to accommodate the day’s weather or unforeseen circumstances A 50% deposit per person is due at time of reservation. | This is considered to be by many, the most beautiful lake in the world...after seeing her, you will not disagree. The great fly fishing is just a bonus to the beauty that you will be surrounded by. Grizzly Bears and Mountain Goats are just a few things that you can watch for while combing her shores between casts. At Tsylos Park Lodge we fly fish on the Chilko River a variety of ways. With full guide support we wade all the different pools and ledges for the first 9 km’s. Your guide will keep you moving from shelf to shelf and offer assistance when needed. We also drift fish from our flat-bottom jet sleds. With one person fly fishing from the bow, and one from the stern your guide can direct you over all of the shelves that hold our big Rainbows. This can be very productive as you can cover a lot of water in a short period of time. Once at the end of your drift, the jet motor is used to move upstream for another drift. We offer a McKenzie Drift boat trip down the Chilko River about 22 km’s. This is a treat to fish in some of the faster water, find secret eddies and pools, and experience the beautiful lower end of Chilko River. | After a one-hour charter plane flight from Vancouver, British Columbia, over the spectacular Coastal Mountain Range you will arrive at the north end of 52 mile-long Chilko Lake. Fed by glacial streams and surrounded by majestic peaks, it is one of the most impressive areas in British Columbia. Tsylos Park Lodge is located at the north end of Chilko Lake, the gateway to Tsylos Provincial Park. This is the dividing point between the Coast Mountain Range and the Chilcotin Plateau, where the Chilko River winds its way down to the coastal watershed. The area offers excellent fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking and hunting. Sixteen guests are accommodated in four individual guest rooms and three cabins, all with private bathrooms. All of our log buildings have been constructed with local timber. All of our guided adventure trips are based at the lodge or from the lodge. |
