About Us
The Metepenagiag Lodge has been in operation since 2002. The Lodge sits on the high banks overlooking the Little Southwest Miramcihi River. Fishing with our guides provides you access to Metepenagiag own fishing pools. The Lodge has 10 private bedrooms each with its own bathroom and private entrance. Enjoy dining in the main dining room and try sampling some aboriginal cuisine.  For more information please visit our website or give us a call.

Metepenagiag First Nation is an aboriginal Mi'kmaq community and our past knowledge and history with wildlife, salmon fishing and canoeing can be combined as an ideal location for your next small conference, business meeting or vacation! Atlantic Salmon fly-fishing on the renowned Miramichi River from April to October is our specialty and we advise you to book early. We offer our guests an opportunity to mix both business with pleasure during your conference with our selection of outdoor adventures that range from salmon fishing and horseback riding to aerial tours over the Miramichi. Please call 1-800-570-1344 for further information on packages and availability.

The entire lodge is made of locally harvested cedar and assembled with help from aboriginal people in our community. The lodge is rated 4 Star by Canada Select. Our kitchen features authentic aborignal prepared foods such as Atlantic Salmon and bannock along with our new fiddlehead chowder. You must sample our seafood dining with premium items such as Atlantic lobster and mouth watering snow crab. Call and inquire about special event dining. 1-800-570-1344

We invite our guests to take a leisurely stroll down by the river, and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds that have made the Miramichi River legendary. There is nothing like stirring up an appetite on fresh clean air. Guests often compliment us on how relaxed they feel in our lodge, almost like home.

Conference Center

Our state of the art conference facilities have everything you need for your next business meeting. We provide: a projector screen, colour laser photocopying, white board, telephone, and internet access.

The conference centre can easily accommodate 50 people in comfortable, stress-free surroundings. A lounge area provides "break-away" space and in-house catering services are available for a light lunch, or full dinner. Different conference center packages are available depending on how long you will be using it, if your guests will be staying in our accommodations, and the food services that are required.

Each bedroom at the lodge has its own bathroom which features soap/shampoo and fresh towels daily. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with aboriginal artwork.
