The incomparable Eagle River is born in the wilderness highland lakes of Labrador's Mealy Mountains. A large and brawling river, the Eagle flows through rugged canyons and seemingly impassable falls for 120 rough and tumble miles before emptying into Sandwich Bay on the Labrador Sea. The laws of natural selection have lead to the evolution of a strain of exceptionally strong salmon capable of mounting this difficult journey to the Highland spawning grounds. Many well-traveled anglers consider the Eagle fish the hardest fighting Atlantic salmon in the world.

| The season starts with runs of large salmon, most 11-18 pounds, and salmon 20-25lbs are not uncommon.(recent sonar soundings have resulted in sightings of salmon estimated near 40lbs!) July-early August boasts incredible catch rates with vast runs of grilse weighing in from 5-7 lbs, with a solid mix of large salmon still in the 11-18 pound range. Mid- late August still holds strong with Grilse and late large Jacks (males) appear in the river. Late August continues with solid numbers of grilse and late Jack salmon plus some spectacular sea-run trout fishing. | |||

Pratt Falls Salmon Lodge offers daily fishing packages, as well as a week long package. We also quote group retreats in August for up to 16 rods. We like to keep rod numbers down during the peak season limiting the camp to 10 rods. This ensures guests a higher value stay at the lodge with better scheduling in the best pools. Bookings for daily stays cannot be guaranteed until May 1st of each year as weekly bookings are given priority.

Payment Terms |

NO BOOKING IS GUARANTEED until a 30% deposit is received. The 30% deposit is 50% refundable until December 31st of the year prior to your arrival date. After Dec 31st the deposit is non-refundable. If a trip has to be cancelled after the refund cut off date of December 31st, your deposit can be used toward a booking the following year. Balance is due at camp prior to departure. The balance will be made up of your package price less deposit + charter cost + license fee + any special requests. Balance can be paid by Cash, Cheque, Travellers Cheques, Visa, & Mastercard. |

| Pratt Falls Salmon Lodge is a modern facility made up of 6 buildings. Guests stay in one of 4 duplex style cabins. Each cabin features 2 double rooms, each room with it's own wood stove, 2 twin beds, dressers, closet, and washroom with sink, toilet, and shower. Each cabin also features a screened in porch to seek refuge from mosquitos and black flies while enjoying the fresh air. The guest cabins will be receiving air conditioners in the 2010 season.Ocean. The main lodge is the perfect place for a jovial review of the day's activities. Relax in front of the fireplace or outside on the patio with a spectacular view of the falls. The main lodge also houses the guest dining area, as well as a bar with fridge stocked with plenty of soft drinks and water for guest use.
