About Us
Welcome to Lookout Point Camp. A destination where broad smiles and fun-filled memories are here for the taking. A pristine gem in the north, we offer a wilderness surrounding, yet with an attention to detail that comes from a trusted "hands-on" approach.

Established in 1967, Lookout Point Camp prides itself on being a non-commercialized retreat, gracefully situated on the northern tip of picturesque Gowganda Lake. Spanning thirty-six miles of rugged and unspoiled shoreline, our lake is nestled amid a junction of flowing lakes and rivers, ultimately feeding the Montreal River watershed.

We are proud to offer first-rate fishing opportunities. Take your pick of the tasty walleye, feisty northern pike, acrobatic smallmouth or the roaming whitefish and perch.

From fishing and hunting to hiking and canoeing, Lookout Point Camp is pleased to offer a vacation package that is sure to meet each and every one of your needs. Come and see what you've been missing in a retreat!  You'll be glad you did.
Accommodations
Our picturesque camp consists of four waterfront cabins, all overlooking the splendid views of Gowganda Lake. Each cabin is meticulously maintained, ensuring the highest level of cleanliness that we have come to pride ourselves on. All amenities are provided for, making your "temporary" home a welcoming retreat that exudes relaxation and comfort to the utmost degree.

Choose from one of two, two bedroom cabins (sleeps four), one three bedroom (sleeps six), and a six bedroom (sleeps 12.) We have outfitted the three and six-bedroom cabins with an additional fridge for added convenience - both for store bought food and the fresh caught variety.

Each of our dwellings is constructed of breathtakingly beautiful wood - allowing our guests to truly experience what real cottage living is all about.

With a cozy fireplace to warm your weary bones after a long day on the lake, a screened- in porch to savour that early morning coffee in or the spacious living room to relax with a good book, our cabins all provide a wonderful atmosphere for enjoying your stay.
This summer marked our 10th year visiting Lookout Point Camp for our annual fishing trip. Some people have come and gone over the years, but the "four musketeers" (being my Dad and our good friends Rodney and Brian, besides me) have been a constant. Lookout Point has us in its spell. There have been many years, in fact, where I've made the 7 hour trek to Gowganda two, even three times. One doesn't even notice the drive, really. The experience of heading north is almost religious.

Without repeating what everyone else has already said in these testimonials, my message to people reading it is "believe it!" This place really is this good. The accommodations, hospitality, and of course the fishing -- it's all pure joy. Don't waste your hard-earned vacation time and money on a "chance." Lookout Point Camp is a sure thing.
