Our main camp is centrally located on the Wabigoon/Dinorwic chain of lakes offering over 250 miles of shoreline to explore. There are opportunities for a world record in numerous species - Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Muskie, Perch and Crappie. Excellent fishing conditions await anglers of all levels. | Merkel’s Camp has been owned and operated by the same family since it’s very first summerseason in 1963! Not something very many resort/camp owners can say in all honesty. Terry has been a part of the camp all his life; beginning with riding the bulldozer as it built the road into camp and later helping out in all aspects of camp life, from dockboy to guide and all the dirty jobs in between! We live year round at our camp and work very hard to create an atmosphere that makes our guests want to come back, again and again.
