Fishing Locations

Uchi Lake Stands for quality when it comes to fishing and service. Just three hours from International Falls where you hop on board a float plane, sit back and enjoy the most dynamic scenery in the area. Forty minutes later you are greeted on the Uchi Dock where staff assist in preparing you for a fishing vacation of a lifetime. Because of Uchi Lake's remoteness, there is no other fishing pressure on this twelve mile lake.

Types of Fish

Trophy Walleye and Northern Pike and lots of them. Perch and Whitefish are primarily a bait fish.

Deluxe American Plan
This package includes accommodations with electricity, modern bathroom facilities, daily maid service, lunch, dinner on arrival, breakfast on morning of departure, 3 meals per day, 14' boats, new Mercury motor, all your gasoline, ice, linens and towels, cleaning/packaging and freezing of meat, flight to and from base. Conservation licence, minnow buckets, fish measuring devices, landing nets, swivel boat seats and cushions. Great hospitality.

First time guests will be surprised at how easy it is to catch fish on Uchi Lake. Walleye and Northern Pike more than plentiful - they're abundant!!! More and more trophys every year is proof of this. Our number one priority is for you to catch fish while you are here and enjoy doing it.

The unique structure of Uchi Lake is part of the reason why the fishing at Uchi is so fantastic. The bottom drops off right near the shoreline in many places. One in-house fishing expert was amazed to literally find fish everywhere on the lake. Obviously the structure provides breeding grounds throughout the lake and not just at the feeder creeks or river inlets. If you want to try your hand at an alternative lake, there are two portage lakes to enjoy as well.

Accommodations

Simply put - private, modern, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Your cottage is within seconds from the waterfront - boats are parked neatly on your private ramp - gassed and ready to go at all times. The accommodations you are about to enjoy are rare for a remote setting in that you can enjoy modern bathroom facilities with freshly laundered towels daily, hot and cold running water with showers, sink and toilets. Electricity in all cabins which are also fully carpeted and cleaned daily. A beautiful front porch to sit out and enjoy the evening air.

Boardwalks throughout the entire camp for your comfort with night lighting for that evening stroll. Last but not least, you must take in at least one evening bonfire while gazing the northern lights.
