HOW DOES IT WORK
You have the following choices:

  • go all day to a outlying lake
  • go for ½ day in the morning to one of those lake and fish the main lake (Ventadour) in the afternoon
  • fish the main lake in the morning and go for a outlying lake in the afternoon.

Every day we make a fishing plan for the next day. There are several lake some with up to 5 boats depending on the size of the lake.

At that time, you can decide where you want to fish the following day and if you want to go all day or half a day. The next morning the mini bus will take you to your fishing spot and will return to pick you up at the time already set up.(note that on the more remote lake you have to go for the day). There is a shelter in case of bad weather.

The next morning you prepare your own lunch
All the fixings are available, bread, cold cuts, hot dogs, hamburger, fruit, vegetables, cheese etc. etc. We let you prepare your own lunch so that it is exactly what you want to eat. Don't be shy; take as much as you can eat.

If you go for ½ day, lunch is available at the dining room at noon with plenty of warm home made soup with hotdogs, hamburgers, subway, pizza, cold cuts etc. You are allowed one trip per day with the mini bus. If you need more information, do

About Us
Camp Cooper is the ideal place for an unforgettable fishing adventure. It is 7 hours' driving distance from Montreal or 5 hours from Quebec. Over twenty lakes with an incredible fishing potential are part of the territory exploited by Cooper Camp. Located on the edge of Ventadour Lake, in an area of water covering approximately 2400 square miles, dotted with a host of island sanctuaries, the site has satisfied fishermen, season after season, for over 11 years. Here, Northern Pike abounds-some weighing up to 35 pounds, and Walleye and Giant Pike sometimes reach a respectable 15 pounds.

So, why is Cooper Camp so famous for its high quality
fishing and black bear hunting ?

It's because management has, from the outset, adopted and enforced strict practices regarding the up-keep of lakes and fishing quotas. Fish stocks are never stressed during the spawning season, so that the larger specimens can reproduce naturally. Also, two or three lakes are closed annually on a rotational basis so as to ensure proper replenishment of fish stocks. Meanwhile, two other lakes are kept open for your constant enjoyment.
