KITCHI ISLAND OUTPOSTS The pristine area of Canadian Shield and mature stands of conifer and deciduous forest and the waters around them are home to big fish and lots of them. Walleye and Northern Pike are the major species here but the angler will encounter sauger, perch, goldeye and crappie as well. |

PINE ISLAND LODGE Manitoba made a conservation fishing license available several years ago. The advent of the conservation fishing license, coupled with the conservation policies Pine Island initiated several years ago, has contributed to more and bigger walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass than has been evident for 15 to 20 years. |

Trail End Camp & Outfitters Cast for big pike in the depths of the back bays, or find them hiding along the islands and channels. Topwater and bait rigs are great in early season. Anglers switch to spinner and spoons in June. Summer months see a variety of lures being tossed out for hungry pike, from large silver spoons to huge crank baits. |
