Country Haven Lodge and Cottages
Welcome to "your home away from home". COUNTRY HAVEN LODGE AND COTTAGES are located on a 100 acres of private land on the bank of the world famous Miramichi River. We offer you your choice of accommodation while on the miramichi. We are located approximately two miles from the Village of Blackville and 20 miles from the City of Miramichi. While staying at Country Haven, our experienced guides and staff will ensure your experience is one to remember for years to come.
Guests rise around 7 am to a full breakfast and leave the lodge at 8 am for any one of 7 guided canoe or kayaking adventures. Guided trips through some of the best salmon fishing pools in the world. You may fish or relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery as you float by. A fish may even jump alongside the boat as you glide through the many fishing pools. All necessary equipment is provided, as well as a lunch and refreshments along the way. A full course meal will be provided at the lodge upon your return.

Country Haven Lodges & Cotages is located on the Lower Stretch of the Main Southwest Miramichi River considered to be the most productive stretch of the Miramichi River System.
Near Blackville the salmon fishing capital of the Miramichi overlooking 40,000 Atlantic salmon swim past our door annually.
Accommodations
The 4000 sq ft log lodge consists of five bedrooms, 3 bathrooms,and a modern kitchen and dining area. The livingroom is spacious, with its cathedral ceiling and large windows offering a spectacular view of the river. Just sit back and watch the salmon jumping and rolling or let a gorgeous sunset complete your day. At the lodge we offer Satellite TV and Internet access.
Enjoy fishing and catching the world famous Atlantic Salmon, trout or shad. Spend the day fishing or touring. In the evening, relax on the front patio, watching the beavers play along the brook that runs through the land, view a family of ducks paddling by, or, with a bit of luck, catch a glimpse of the Bald Eagles that, each year, return to the large pine tree in front of the lodge. Enjoy a game of pool or use the exercise equipment in the recreation room.
Your stay at the lodge is an all-inclusive package with daily maid service and 3 full home cooked meals daily. Eastern Canada is known for hardy cooked meals and sea food, so our salmon and fiddle head special is second-to-none.

Types of Fish
Atlantic Salmon, the King of game fish. Some 100,000 ranging in size from 1.4 to more than 13 kg (3-30 lb) make their way up the river every summer and fall. This one river produces nearly one half of all the rod caught salmon in North America. New Brunswick rivers usually yield over 30,000 fish for anglers' flies. For more than a century the Miramichi has attracted the elite of sport fishermen from all over the world.

We offer a discount on our Father and Son packages because we truly believe that there is no better place in the world to spend quality time and bond a father and son relationship. The tranquility of the river flowing, fresh air, natural serene surroundings and the chance to hook a mighty Atlantic salmon adds to an experience that will be etched in your memories forever.
For the Dad who would like to see his son catch his first Atlantic salmon or the son that would like to get on a fishing trip with his Dad, our experienced guides will provide the novice full instruction on the technique of flyfishing.
Ladies Fly-Fishing:
Each year at Country Haven we have seen an increase in the number of ladies enjoying the art of fly-fishing for At;antic Salmon with our easy wading pools and accommodating guides. Many of our female guests have been enjoying some great success.
