About Us

Halley's Camps
Since Louis and Yvonne first started welcoming fishermen to a small fishing camp north of the town of Kenora back in 1946, the Halley family has continued the tradition of commitment to their guests and the environment that has preserved fishing stocks and forged relationships that span generations. As a result, the small fledgling camp that was the beginning of Halley’s Camps has developed and matured into the distinguished collection of all-inclusive lodges, fly in outposts and housekeeping cabins that is the Halley’s Camps of today.

After over 60 years in business, we continue to be a family owned and operated vacation destination. With a lifetime of experience with fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling in around the Kenora and Minaki area and north, our expertise in our field is matched only by our devotion to sustaining and preserving the rich outdoors expeditions that we are accustomed to.

Accommodations

We offer three fully staffed camps that are all situated on the English River. Kettle Falls Lodge and One Man Lake Lodge are all-inclusive lodges, while Caribou Falls Landing has cabin rentals and a general store. We also boast 12 remote fly in outposts!

Our Canadian fishing lodges, Kettle Falls Lodge and One Man Lake Lodge, are all-inclusive lodges. At Caribou Falls Landing, you do your own cooking and light housekeeping. Or if you wish for something a little more solitary, the Outpost Company offers a variety of remote fly-in outpost cottages. All of our fishing destinations are serviced by River Air — the heartbeat of Halley's Camps. Our lodges, camps and outpost cabins, coupled with our fleet of floatplanes and our unbeatable Canadian hospitality, make this Ontario fishing resort one of the finest for a fly-in fishing trip.

Our first rate Northern Ontario lodges are second to none when compared to the other fishing lodges and fishing resorts in Ontario, Canada. But don't just take our word for it. 95% of the people who have visited Halley's Camps have returned, agreeing that we offer the most enjoyable fishing vacation experience in Canada for trophy smallmouth bass fishing and trophy walleye fishing.
